Bizhub C550, Default Scan File Name

On a Bizhub C550, is there any to change the default scan to file filename from SMB_datetime? We use Accoutn tracking and would like to include the Account name or number in the filename without having to go to the manual "Document" naming facility.

    Any ideas?

To my knowledge, you can't change the default file name, sorry.

You can change the name so it says something other that SKMBTC550XXXXXXXXX but it will still add the time and date.
I don't know/think you can change it to a name that relates to the users login.
I have only changed one a while back so can't say with confidence where the setting is, I will look tomorrow and if no one else has already said I will post it.

      Cheers

Re: Bizhub, Default Scan File Name

You can partly change the name on any bizhub. The default name is "SKMBT_C550xxxxxxxxx", where the C550 would change based on the machine type. The nine x's are the date and time plus a serial number in case of multiple scans in the same minute, i.e. 13050717230 for 2013-05-07 at 5:23 pm (0 is the first scan for this particular minute).

"Scan 13050717230" is much better than "SKMBT_C55013050717230".

The name must start with "S" for scan, so I usually change the name to a more reasonable "Scan xxxxxxxxx" by changing the Machine Name from "KMBT_C550" to "can ". Note the space at the end.
If you're worried about name collisions, i.e. because multiple machines are sending to the same server, add something to distinguish them, like "can C352 ".

To change the Machine Name go to Administrator settings, Administrator/Machine Name, Input Machine Address, Machine Name.

p.s. I realize this thread is a few years old, but it was the first hit in a google search, so I thought I'd finish it.
