bitdefender on i series

has anyone got experience with the bitdefender license kit on the i series?

is it worth getting? does it run transparently or does it require configuration?

Ive had a customer ask about it but it seems like over kill imo

Hi rrrohan,


If you activate the Bitdefender license you have to set in the administrator menu when a virus scan of the machine should be done. You can also run a scan manually. If Bitdefender detects a virus the machine will display a message and block the execution of the file, in the administrator menu there is a log that documents what was detected.


For Bitdefender to download the virus definitions, the device must be allowed to communicate with the Internet.


Whether this license is useful I can not answer, everyone must decide for themselves. If a customer attaches great importance to security, it could be a good addition.

thanks. i will pass this info on to client. The client in question has a paranoia over security so no doubt will be all over this. and it sounds like it wont cause any complications from my servicing perspective so thats also good
