    C458 firmware GC1-X8 to GCQ-Y2

    Hi All,
I have a customer with a C458 running special firmware GC1-X8, and I'd like to get them over to base firmware GCQ-Y2. Are there any pitfalls I need to be aware of?
    Thanks

If they're not experiencing any issues with the current level, I wouldn't bother. But if you really want to all you need to do is follow the normal upgrade procedure.

the 8 series has a firmware roll back feature in service mode so if anything goes wrong you can use that

the problem is scan to email, but we've determined that i't's most likely an overly aggressive firewall ruleset policy

          OK...To revive this topic,

after working with the client's IT staff, it was determined that the scan to email issue is that the C458, over time, takes longer and longer to send and eventually stops sending altogether.

The current workaround is to switch setting the SMTP Server Address from the domain name to the IP address.

The C458 is currently running special firmware GC1-X8. Is there an update to the special firmware, or do we need to get it to GCQ-Y2. If so, what is that procedure?
