    C554 connectivity issue

Is it possible to turn off the Ethernet port?

I have a customer IT guy who was changing some settings in Admin mode on the panel, and after logging out, the Networking tab is gone and there are no link lights on the Ethernet port.

It's likely that he fat-fingered something, but is there an alternative to running an Initialization and starting from scratch?

    Thanks

Never seen it but what if he turned off IPv4 and IPv6

      It's certainly possible...
I discussed with him that he try process of elimination and check cables, switches, routers, etc.
From my experience (limited though it may be) the Network tab in the Admin menu only disappears if electrons are not flowing over the Ethernet port.
Am I wrong in this assumption?

Before you jump to any conclusions did you actually check to see if the ethernet line was active with any other device?

Yeah... turns out it's the Ethernet port on the 454e making intermittent contact.
I've had the conversation with my client iT staff that it's soldered to the board and that the boards are no longer available and that it's TIME TO UPGRADE!! 😑

If you haven't already, try initializing the network settings in service mode. This will set all network settings back to default and overwrite any changes IT made. We had to do this recently for a similar model and it got things working again. You will have to reconfigure TCP/IP and scan to email settings though once your done.
