C-450i series, Black and Color drums interchangeable?

I looked for posts on this subject and didn't find anything definitive. Has anyone swapped the Black out for Color? Is it just a matter of changing the chip and (maybe) those front spacers, like in the C-368 series? Or is there more to it? Thanks in advance,

Yes, Same as c308 front block spacer, then the ridge that runs along the entire length of the drum on the right-hand side. Snap it off the entire length with the pair of pliers and rear block a bit of extra plastic needs cutting off too. Very close to the screw. Have the C drum side by side, you will see the differences. And the chip of course.

The black c450i drum is very difficult to run in color. It is much easier to use the c250i black drum, which has to go through the same process as if we were to convert it to color on that model, but using the c450i color chip, which is different. This way we avoid cutting guides and other extra processes.
