Well this is an odd one and hoping someone has seen this before , I have a gbc g2 in the train of a c4070 that shows “ready bypass” on the little lcd and ready to print on the copier , until you try to use the g2 multipunch setting on the copier which then stays check the status of the multi punch (which hasn’t changed still says ready bypass) you can copy/ print without the punch but if you choose punch that message appears.
At the idle state everything appears normal, ready to print, if you open the door of the punch the copier states check it till you close the door, you still can’t use the punch when you select it (check status of it when selected) this unit had its main board replaced recently because the screen went utterly blank when turned on, that fixed it and it worked for a month or so after that event without issue. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
The punch unit firmware is the latest according to the info I have. The gbc manual doesn’t say how to update it regardless. (At least the one I downloaded from Konicas site didn’t) any input is appreciated. Thanks!
