    cf-3102 waste toner bottle

    Hi everyone.
My copier tells me that i have to change the waste toner bottle soon.
Is there anything that i can do so i do not have to change it and to stop showing the message display?
    Thanks in advance.

listen to the display. empty out that waste toner bottle. testing the capacity of the waste toner bottle is not recommended. broken waste toner augers are not very fun to replace on those machines.

If you look at the bottle you will see a clear window that a photocell looks through. You must make sure the toner is out of that window to clear the message.

            Buy another one.

Emptying out these WTB's can cause the the waste tranfer auger to back up which in turn backs up the IU waste toner auger.

We used to vac out these units, but the cost of just replacing the WTB as compared to replacing IU's and technician time just wasn't worth it.

Save yourself some money and buy another WTB.
