    Konica Minolta 3510's fax problems

What setting do I need to look for with the Di3510, it works with "on hook dial" (sends and confirms ok), however, if sending it with memory dial, I get no dial tone or failed fax confirmation?? Any solutions???

You don't say if the fax is behind a PABX (you have to dial a number to get a line) or weather the machine has a direct line.

I will assume that the machine is behind a PABX. When you do an 'On-Hook' dial, you might have to enter '0' to get an outside line. If the time between presing '0' and hearing the line pick up is rather long, then your machine won't detect this and try to dial the number even if the line hasn't been picked up yet. If this is the case, try entering in a pause between the '0' and the phone number. So you should end up with a number looking a little something like this.

    0P12345678

If you have a direct line, then try turning off 'Dial tone detection' from with in the service mode.

    Hope this helps.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
