Marty from Holland here, I've been a copier service tech from '98 upto 2012 mainly Ricoh, Sharp, Canon, HP, but also Konica and Kyocera. I was an advanced troubleshooter back in those days. Im quite 'out of it' now and i'm hoping you can help me here, (..and yes, i'm a contributor)
I received a few machines,...hardly used since 2014 (look at the counters below), but also not new anymore,, Anyway, they're still good enough to not become landfill. The machines are currently being replaced by my employer
KM-Bizhub types :
C224 @ 285k counter
C224e @ 186k counter
C224e @ 79 k counter
C258 @ 14 k counter
more machines are coming my way soon....
Problem is: They all had the (optional) modem removed. Also they probably had a "RAM clear", obviously to delete data on the HDD, now they all show messages :
- please turn on modem unit (was probably installed to communicate data for trouble and automatically order supplies outside our company VPN) Any tips on how to "uninstall" the modem in the settings are apreciated.
- no animation guide available,These messages cause the red "trouble"-LED on the left of the display to light up , and therefore the machines become harder to sell. Otherwise the machines all perform flawlessly.

For updating movie data ; finding the "how to" is no problem, but I need the files themselves, and (I must sound very Dutch now) preferably for free.
You'd really help me out with whatever data you can send me.
