BH C450i with firmware AA2 J0Y0 F000 G00 M2
When I turned on the MFD to installed the FW after a couple minutes the dot on the screen disappeared and the machine booted normally.
Also tried to installed another Firmware not so recent ( AA2 J0Y0 F000 G00 M2 ) and same thing, after a couple minute the dot disappeared and booted normally.
any idea?

If the machine just booted up normally, it probably means you have the wrong file or firmware.
For the C450i firmware.

For the C450i firmware, be sure you are using the FW0021 Folder from the firmware file.

Must be FW0020 for C450i, but yes probably that is the problem on OP.

Pretty sure the FW0020 is for the lower speed i series copiers like the C300i.

I was under same impression until recently
It's in C450i service manual.

FW0020 for C250i to C450i

FW0020 or 21 for C550i depending on if it has the memory board.

Try bypassing the USB port by the panel, plug your stick directly into the board just under the network port. If it still doesn't work then it's probably your USB stick. Make sure you're holding down the topmost (Stop) yellow button behind the panel.

Apologies. Someone had loaded C550i firmware into our C450i firmware folder on our server.
Of course the only wrong version firmware on the entire server was the one I opened to reference!
