    change Fiery software from Xerox to KM on X3e

    Does anyone know if i can swap my fiery software. i have a dead RIP for my KM C500 and the dealer wants a lot of money to replace it. I have an X3e RIP that we had when we originally bought a xerox 240 - but we upgraded the rip so i have this extra one. On paper they are the same RIP. Can I just install the fiery software from KM and make that one work in my KM? I dont have the software from Xerox.. so if I do this and it doesnt work.. i'm out the rip, which considering what happend to the KM rip.. I think I dont want to take the chance without some reassurance. Thanks

      Is it possible that you could replace the hard drive and load the KonicaMinolta firmware, and if no joy, just put the old hard drive back in?

              Rocket is correct. The BIOS is different from the KM and Xerox version of Fiery.
