Good afternoon everyone! I finally have the printers in hand and have begun the process of repair, but I've run into a snag that maybe someone on here has seen before. When I try to format the HDD (brand new) it gets stuck on 100% and doesn't move. I've let it sit for ~5 hours, and so far nothing.. I have the most updated firmware, 320gb notebook hard drives, and have done a thorough look through the service guide. So far nothing nothing has worked. I can't do a logical because this isn't complete, but it continually gets stuck on 100%.
Some notes:
+ When I got the printers all of them are HDD locked, so no copy or printing (and there was no HDD to begin with).
+ When processing the format it will take its' sweet time, but will never finish or let me do anything on screen. Sound works, buttons don't.
+ I have 4 total printers to burn, so I am happy to try anything to try and save these guys.
+ I have done these steps: firmware, HDD format (Freeze) // HDD Format (Freeze) // Firmware (still HDD Locked - even though brand new) // Logical Format is unavailable unless HDD format is done first (I'm assuming)
Thank you all for your help, I am slowly getting better at these little guys, but boy do they want to make me pull my hair out... After this, I'm going to stick to KM production presses.
Thanks again!
