Hi, in my case the code was c4840. The copier behaved similarly, it was stupid, it either refused to print or displayed a code. I checked, changed the firmware, ran I/O 99-70 and even formatted the HDD. And it even seemed like it was working. Ended up replacing the HDD.

Ok! I think I have solved the issue for real!! It turns out that when there is any tray that is empty in the PFU it codes out when trying to run color calibrations in the IQ-501. I've been able to replicate the issue and I'm blown away that the problem is something so stupid.

    Happy Monday I guess!

Ok, here is what happened (I think). I replaced the board and after doing an I/O check it seemed like nothing changed. I took all connectors out and reconnected them all again and did another I/O check and after a few minutes the job submitted and printed OK. I'm still nervous there is something else going on, but in the meantime it's working and accepting jobs.

If anyone else has had an issue similar I'd love to hear it. This whole thing seems odd to say the least...

    Thank you

Hey everyone, I got error C-4850, swapped the OACB board, HDD's and updated firmware. Whenever I send a job to the printer it spools, then asks me to "press start to restart". I press it and it spools quickly and then has the same error over and over until it codes out again. Anyone heard of anything like this?

I can't copy on the glass, scan, or send jobs through the fiery. No matter what I do I end up looking at the "press start to restart" and I can press it a million times but it never prints the job. I can print test patterns in service mode, but that is about it..

    Thank you!
Working...
