    i series printing from Chromebooks

    hi guys,

we currently have a C300i and C550i at a customers site and are wanting to print from their chromebooks,

the machines currently have account track on, their IT has tried to print from the chrome books and has said the job goes to the print queue but just disappears, did mention that the account track details will have to be enabled in the driver for the print to authenticate but apparently their old machines (8 series) had mobility print and the prints would just come out without the authentication details in. we have the machines set up on their server with PCL6 print driver and i am not too sure if the chrome books use the drivers on the server, i also mentioned the drivers have to be for the correct machine for the machine to able to authenticate prints (have asked if the driver they are currently using on the chrome books are for the 8 series machine)

does anyone have an documentation on printing from chrome books and this mobility print?

do the chrome books need the PPD drivers instead of PCL6 drivers?

is there anything on the machines that need to be enabled for this to work?

we haven't really dealt with chromebooks before.

pretty sure if you enable mopria any print job will inherit the username MOBILE so if you create a account track account called MOBILE with no PIN it should print
