Elatec twn3 With Konica bizhub c220

hi folks I currently have a bizhub setup using papercut works flawlessly no problems very happy up to the point I have tried to make a Elatec twn3 work with papercut has anyone else got any experience with card readers and Konica ? is this doable or do I need a diffrent card reader card reader has papercuts label on it but I got a feeling this model is for fast release and as such will only work with tcp converter would I be correct in my assumption if it is at all possibly my reader plugged in does nothing but beep and twconfig tool has been used to update the script but still no luck any advice just would like to add a card reader I do happen to have a omnikey hid card reader but this simply does not get recognised

are you loading the device drivers on copier then enabling it as a authentication device?

No Im simply plugging in usb had no idea there was device drivers for elatec twn3

Yeah first step is to the find the device driver.

hummm tryed this can find info but no driver look at the configuration tool for ldd

can u link me the config tool.

I know YSOFT have a tool to generate custom drivers so make it only read certain card frequencies and so on so the tool you have might be wheat you need

I don't think you will find any device drivers for elatec for this old device.
There was loadble driver for YSoft card readers but I'm not sure if they are still available.

Hi folks so after a bit of digging I have found 2 downloadable LDD files both zips both have 1 .bin fil there not tar files which I find odd none the less I am still trying to make a card reader by elatec work with papercut I also have an omni key card reader neither of them have I made work but can anyone clear up my confusion firstly how to I install on bizhub a ldd driver been into service mode etc put the file on a usb stick cant find where i can install and perhaps more odd all the service manuals describe a executable file but both my files that I have downloaded look like this (A1217FG0010405BH.bin) & (A1217FG0010305BH.bin) unzipped and yes they downloaded as a zip not a tar can anyone advise most frustrating

ive never seen a loadable driver in any format but tar

pretty sure the file name is always A0EDFW.tar

if you just enable the card reader does it error out?

Turn on MFP and enter a service mode
Push [STOP](Hard key) and [9](Hard key)
Push [Management Function Choice]
Push [Authentication Device2]
Push [Card 2]
Push [OK]
Turn off MFP

Hi yes it just errors out with a c-180 error which of course relates to driver not being loaded i have some names of file names involved AA2J0Y0-A031-G00-00_KeyboardEmu.exe is supposed to be the file for using card readers that output like a keyboard which is actually what the elatec does its actually a papercut device . have included 2 pdf files which have detail about ldd but no luck When I worked on Kyocera I just used to plug these readers in no such luck times have changed lol

The documents you have posted refers to completely different models. I doubt that any of those drivers will work in a C220.

I have not found any driver for the elatec I have instead found an alternative solution as I run papercut on my system
