Konica Minolta bizhub 215 network printing

Hello. Please help. I have a Konica 215 printer. I bought an nc-504 network card for it, but the printer did not become networked. It's not online. Logged in as an administrator, it is defined as PCL, but should be NIC. How to fix it? Maybe some special firmware is needed?

Now I understand what it is for Konica 195/235. Can I flash it for 215?

For the bizhub 195/215/235 series to be operated as a network printer you need the optional IC-209 print controller + the optional NC-504 network interface. All models 195/215/235 are the same except for the speed and some minor features. Send me a PM when you require more information.

This is an over eight years old machine and I doubt you will be happy with it as a network printer. I have only two customers left using this dinosaur. As far as I recall, they stopped using the optional network and are only printing via USB. But I must say they're still happy with it.

You should print with only NC-504 but with GDI driver, for PCL you must have IC-209.
Also check which version of NC-504 you have, different versions is for bizhub 215 or 226.
On the board should be marked as "Orion" for 215 and "Altair" for 226.

        Orion:
        Image Controller (PCL/NIC) IC-209 - A4M1WY3
        Network Card NC-504 - A4M3WY3

        Altair:
        Image Controller (PCL/NIC) IC-209 - A4M1WY6
        Network Card NC-504 - A4M3WY6

Thank you! Tell me also, I still have an nc-504 network card for Konica 226 (Altair). There is a way to flash it in Orion so that it works in Konica 215m?

            I repaired a bizhub 226 once with a mainboard from 215.
Basicly that bizhub 226 became bizhub 215 with all 226 components.
NC-504 from 226 was accepted and recognized by 215 mainboard and it worked without any FW upgrade.

I tried this. But the network card is not visible correctly, ping does not work. The nic version in the administrator menu is also not displayed correctly A3PE0Y0-5000-

I dont know how did you manage that, never tried but KM put notice regarding this.

The hardware of the three options are always the same.
The difference on all options is the installed firmware.
It not possible to make a firmware change to get an option usable for the other system.

NC-504 FW of the 226 is newer and will work on mainboard of 215 without FW update.

NC-504 FW of the 215 is older and will NOT work on mainboard of 226 imediately.

Since NC-504 HW is obviously the same theoreticaly it should work after updating the FW to 226 version. (but I didn't try)

BTW KM said many HW things won't work (from one system to the other), but they work!
