    BIZHUBProC500/CF5001 with corrupted Fiery SOFTWARE

    Dear Techs ,
    I need to know
is it possible to clone a good fiery harddisk of CF5001 and swap it with the corrupted one.I am sure the harddisk(40GB) is gone/dead with very strange cracking noise.
Please guide me how it can be done.
by which software it must be cloned or how could be installed and programmed a new harddisk in Fiery.

Try purchasing a copy of Acronis True Image Home 2009. I use this for most copiers and Fiery's and can confirm that is works.

Please don't try using a cheap and nasty imaging software as you might have issues down the track when trying to install the HDD into the Fiery.

Konica Minolta in Australia use Acronis to image a whole bunch of different controller OS's, including the Fiery OS.

As stated previously, make sure you know which type of Fiery you have as the OS's are different for each type.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

Dude, the IP921 system software is a 409mb file! Do you have access to Konica Minolta's technical support page? You can download it from there if you have access.

You can clone any hard drive. We do it to save on hours of re-patching. We use ghost but the trick is to use the correct command line switches otherwise it will ghost but not with the correct master boot record. I can't remeber what the switchs are so you will have to read the ghost documentation. It says something about linux partitions.

Re: BIZHUBProC500/CF5001 with corrupted Fiery SOFTWARE

I have a ip-921 internal rip installed in a Bizhub pro c500 copier and the server will not boot. The copier control panel just says either rebooting system or system booting and just hangs.
I would like to know if anyone would be willing to sell the system repair disk or download the pertinent files from the konica minolta website and send them to me either via ftp or disk.
I don't have a konica minolta account and this is just a software corruption issue I believe. Fiery lost power while processing a job, I think...
Thank You for your time and if you are willing to do this I greatly appreciate it.
