    Konica 7218 W/ C0F32

This machine was making a noise when we first received the call but after a few listens it started throwing this code and now it doesnt make the noise anymore but it throws this code within the first 8-10 seconds of warm up. The code seems to mean that the toner sensor is not working. If it wasnt for the noise (which sounded like a toner motor going out) I would think it was the sensor. We took the drum apart to see if there was any build up causing it to lock up but that didnt look to be the problem. Any help would be great.

    Thanks

You probably have too much or too little toner on your developer. The causes could be many, but the easy solution would be to simply replace your developer and do the necessary adjustments.

BUT I had some successes by manually adjusting the reference value for the developer so that the machine doesn't throw that error. It's an hit-and-miss process and dependant on luck, but you could try it.
