    Total Counter incorrect Bizhub 250 / MP1025

    Hi All!

I hope someone can shed some light on why the "Total Counter" displayed by pressing the Utility/Counter key in no way AT ALL matches the mechanical counter.

I am not talking about a few pages, but thousands. A machine that has run 150,000 pages on the mechanical counter might read 35000 on the display. I don't get it ???

The itemised totals for copy and print add up to roughly the mechanical counter.

Most likely the firmware is old, update the msc and printer firmware to the lates then the counters should match.

Well, I will try this with the one have in our own office, but I do have a lot of clients with this problem.

I just didn't think that firmware would responsible for this since the counter data should be on the NV-RAM...and in THEORY not related to firwmare.

        Sorted!

Upgrading one step to the latest - GZ0-70 - made the total the correct sum ...on our own machine. Even if it doesn't quite match the mechanical counter, this will do nicely.

        Thanks

This was a known firmware problem. KonicaMinolta started shipping new firmware with machines after it was discovered. The total counter would reset at 65000 copies. Bulletin #5359 on their website.
