    C352 Print problem

Have a Konica-Minolta C352 BizHub , with 45000 copy's on counter, that prints a "faint" copy in black/white. Same condition when printing in color.

Put in a new black drum in Jan. 2009. Then 2 weeks ago this problem arose. Got another black drum since the local service tech said he could find no problem and thought it was bad. Installed new drum and problem was solved until last Friday.

Same problem and service tech does not know what is wrong.......

He said unit may have a bad transfer belt but not sure.....Also maybe firmware issue, not sure..........

Do any of you have an idea of what has gone out or what the issue is?????

I don't think I understood the problem. Is it only the black that's coming out faint, or all colors?

Faint copies happen in both black and color. It is very hard to see image. The black imaging unit had approx. 4000 copies on it before it went out. The replacment black imaging unit has less then 1000 copies on it. We have tried to clean the corona wires. The copier scans, faxes just find.

There are no error codes, either...................

        Thank you for the replies!!!!

          Are you using OEM toner?

Yes, all toner and imageing units are OEM.

Had a 3rd tech come in yesterday................He was here for 5 minutes, $175.00 and problem fixed.

He said he ran a inialization and stabilzation on the unit. It now copies as it should.

I do not understand what he did and why!!!!! Can anyone explain????

Thank you to those who responded..........................
