HP LASERJET 9850MFP FIERY RIP with Minolta Bizhub pro C500

    Hello!

can i plug HP LASERJET 9850MFP FIERY RIP (on photo) to Minolta Bizhub pro C500?

i have another CF5001 with it's own rip, and this rip looks like 9850MFP FIERY RIP, and as i know 9850MFP it is re-branded C500 (8050, C500...).

    regards,
    Andrey.

That is a good question! Can you get a config page out of each of them while connected to their intended product and compare them? This is something I would be interested in knowing as well.
Online Store is closed. Chip resetting is a thing of the past! Thank you to all my past customers.

i can get it only from my fiery S300 (with Minolta CF5001).

i plan to buy C500 without RIp and buy 9850MFP FIERY RIP for it - so i cant get this page from 9850MFP FIERY RIP.

Unless someone that already tried it replies here, I guess you'll only know when you try it. It's possible that it works without changes, or even if you try to flash the IP-901 firmware on it, but it's also possible that the hardware is keyed so that it will only work on its own machine.

On a side note, I once had to use a Minolta Fiery on a Konica machine (the pi7200 of the Minolta version of the Konica 7272) and the only way to go was to flash the Konica 7272 with the Minolta firmware.

Can't say I'm the little bit surprised. They make good products - but the tech support is flaky at best.
