    Slow printing C252

    Hi all,

I am going to a call later on where the customer is complaining about slow printing from there specialist software. The pages are only black and white text and they are saying its taking a break of about 5-10mins after printing each page of maybe a 15-20 page document.

I have already upgraded the firmware for this machine which did not solve the issue. Now the simple answer would be that its the processing of the document in their software that causing this issue but up until late last week it was fine and they can also print on local printers without this problem.

I am going to install the drive for the MFD locally on a PC to see if this makes it any better but i am doubtful.

    Any other suggestions appriciated.

Does it happen from any PC or just from a specific one?

If it happened from one day to the other without any changes to the environment (note: the customer will ALWAYS say he didn't touch anything, even if he replaced the entire fleet of PCs for new ones, so take that with a grain of salt) then check the machine's connection to the network or test it on another network socket with a different network cable.

Turn off all unnecessary network protocols like appletalk, bonjour etc.
I had a 7Kb text document take 15 minutes to print before switching these off. Like you it was fine the day before, can't explain it but something on the network changed.
      Cheers.
