Is not necessary to reiterate nothing. I know official version.
But the real version is another: this machine is capable to print banner.

The problem is: this machine is not capable to counter banner.
I print one document 330x515mm and machine countered A4.
    Surprising, isn't?

Konika-Minolta is not pleased to print on banner and counter A4.
My situation (and for more other KM clients) I pay for any copies (depends on size of copies), so if I print banner and machine counter A4 is not ok for KM (I pay less).

And is more arguments: the older machine (C650) is capable and the newer (6501) is not capable?

Tks for nothing Herrmann. I resolved the situation.
And enter in service mode is not a mystery as you think.
      Tks again

I am not aware of any "SMART" version of this machine. SSD does not reference the item in any shape or form, which would suggest that the variant you speak of is not available in all regions.

The 650 and the 6501 are totally different machines. The 6500 and the 6501 are closer to each other.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

I think this is the Lite/basic version in the USA.

Not to mention that the C650 is a newer machine.

I look after two C6501 machines which are only used for banner printing to print book covers. both have the IC303 Fiery (free standing) LU202 deck and output tray only which has been modified to cope with the longer paper size. My customer only uses the bypass for banner printing. once the relevant dipsw settings have been enabled the machine will banner print without any problems. Customer is really happy with both machines and generally run service to service without a call...
