    Konica Minolta 5510, #1 tray won't lift

The machine knows if the tray is open or closed, I checked for paper jammed in the plug. I also swapped the feed assembly. When shut the tray does not try to lift, it just keeps saying add paper. Any thoughts?

    Hi fixthecopier
Damn!! you bring back bad memories , i had the same problem on a b 600 once and the paper (a very small piece) was jammed inside the connector after all the laying down, bending down and swopping feed units i saw this piece of paper .While i was in the down position i reached for my springhook and got that mf out only to realise afterwards the machine was still on needless to say i blew the control board. Sorry for not being able to help but i just needed to get this of my chest.
    Regards
    Rudi

I have a gut feeling about that plug, the one on the machine body is clean and I can't feel anything in the tray side but I can't see it. I'll tak a mirror in tomorrow and look.

the only luck I had was the paper lift motor. not too hard to change out.
