again this bizhub 500 now code 2402

Sorry but I`m back again with a new problem on this bizhub 500:is now trowing a c-2402 which the counter state as a PCL abnormal connection. I found a worn gear in the toner motor are the two things related or diferent problems?

C-2402 Erase lamp (EL) connector slip-off
abnormality.
When EL turns ON before starting
an initial charging, EL abnormality
has been detected 15 times in
succession at prescribed intervals
after a specified period of time.
