DV UNIT C6500

Any reason why the developer unit on the black would cause the following problem.

No matter the paper stock- if running paper fast- no problems- clean sheets
When running paper slow- get black smearing across half the page. Even on thin stock.

Happens on all paper trays. I know it is the DV unit because I took the unit out and installed on another C6500 and the problem followed.

Developer brand new
177k prints on the machine.

Any thoughts?

Is the black toner recently exchanged?. What is the TC ratio?

On the first machine, no I did not recently change the toner. On the second machine, I did. Sorry, What is TC ratio?

clotted toner

have seen this on an our machine, caused by toner clotted in dv unit ( customers uses machine and stock toners pipes in hight umidity and temp environment ).

Solved in this way:

vacumed toner hpopper
changed toner pipe in machine with a new fresh toner
made a lot of bk copies
