    C253 Duplex on Mac?

    Hello,

Installed C253 on mac. Eveything works fine apart from the option for double sided in grayed out and i cannot find anywhere to add the option in the driver. Am i missing something?

You select Print Type: 2-sided in the Lauout / Finish tab.

I believe they may be referring to the actual spot where you enable the duplex option...

On Windows Machines it is under the Printer Properties Window, however a Mac is a bit different.

There are two different places you can check for the option. Under Apple>System Preferences>Print / Fax, You can Select the printer and check for a spot under "Installable Options." Another place you can go, is into CUPS to set the options. Open up your favorite web browser, and browse to We'll Have More Soon. This will bring you into CUPS where you can manage your printers and the options associated with them. If you are prompted for a username and password, use your mac account's short name and password to get in.

The duplex unit is standard on the C253, so it isn't listed as an installable option.

That is correct, it is "standard," however, several "standard" options are in fact listed as installable options.
