    fiery software install hanging

i have changed the hdd on the Fiery IC401, km bixhub fiery and I get through the first part of the firmware install (boot.efi) and get to the install screen. It flushes the parallel port and says ok. I press enter and the install of the "system.efi" starts. After trying a couple of times I then get different errors - error (16) and checksum error (6) and data error (5)
    I can't get any further.

Are your parallel port settings correct in both the bios and windows?? I seem to remember this used to cause problems.
If you are hitting your head up against a wall it always feels better when you stop.

      have you....

      1. Set the fiery print driver as the default
      2. Set 'start printing after last page is spooled' checked in driver.
      3. System.efi and boot.efi have 'read only' unchecked
      4. checked that ecp mode is selected in the bios.

(assume you are using the IEEE 1284 Parallel Port Driver)
