Output port not specified - Konica Minolta 600 PCL (Bizhub 600)

Hey guys, I am trying to figure out this problem. I have about 5 computers that run windows 7 at my company with this problem. We try to print, but a popup comes up and says "The output port is not specified. Please print after selecting a device in the Printer/MFP selection display of Print Property." The IT guys have no clue as to what they are doing, can you guys help us?

We have 39 new Windows 7 computers, only 7 computers have had problems. All the printers I believe are connected to a print server and all work except for the Konica Minolta 600. On a side note, we have a Konica Minolta C300 (color) that everyone but two people can connect to.

    Thanks

I decided to test something out. I tried to add the printer as a local printer, it worked. Main problem is that we have a software that allows us to charge each print to the respective client, so we need it to be a connected as a network printer. Also you can't open the printer's properties, it will pop up for a second then disappear.

This sounds like (in part anyway) a permissions error. Set up a user with manage printer rights and see if this helps. Also where is the clicks being counted at? If at the machine then it does not matter if it is a server/network printer or a local tcp/ip printer. Also is this setup as a peer-to-peer server or a domain environment?
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

Are you using the UNIVERSAL DRIVER FROM KONICA? You have to right click the printer icon (the one that says konica minolta Universal driver) and then select properties. It should open a box up that will go and search your network for any installed Konica printers. Once it finds one, highlight it and select "create printer icon" button.

Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.
