went to customers office and the machine is intermittently showing abort code 0x0000999a. machine then reboots itself and goes to ready to copy. copy and print functions work. cannot scan in any way. can't find any info on this code. can anyone point in the right direction on resolving this issue? firmware? board? tia for any input. rb

First off I would check to see that the drum is not scored on the rear side. This is a common problem, when the drum gets scored it can cause arcing in the IU and throw random errors or reboots as a result. If your drum is scored replacement of the drum, dev assy, and developer is usually the only fix.

drum and developer unit look very good. everything seems to be functioning ok. still the code popps up on a consistant level.then reboots mfp.

I had this on a bh222 type once. If I unplugged the network cable it would stop. I flashed it, did a total clear and ended up replacing the MFBS board. All is good now.

Try to total clear or you can try to rewriting the firmware. If still doesn't work, check your MFBS or try to replace the MFBS board.
