C500 red ghost on the page

    [Misc] C500 red ghost on the page

    Hello, my c 500 started to print way to much red, I have a faded red ghost on the page, does any one know what can it be?IMG00091-20100927-1513.jpg

    I can't really see the pic while looking at this on my phone, but I would check to be sure the shipping screws are removed on the magenta drum and be sure the transfer belt cleaning blade is doing its job as well.

    Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

        Wrong fuser setting.

        I cannot tell what paper you are using, but I suspect you are using some heavy stock above 50lb....

        You need to set the tray weight settings to the paper you are using so the machine knows what temperature to set the fuser to.

          Shipping screws hasn"t been removed, it prints fine now, but in the mornings I have spots on the magenta, should I just run it?

            was using 28lb paper, screws solved the problem, thanks for advice
