Transfer belt unit finger getting trapped and putting hole in belt

We have a customer who is going through a fair few transfer belts a year

The finger which you can see when you open the machines side door seems to somhow be getting forced so much it causes a break in the belt ?

Is this caused by a paper jam being cleared incorectly ?

    any help would be great

    thanks

I have had this happen twice for me, both on 203's. All I can tell u is that the customer was running heavier paper and had a jam when it happened. I don't know if the paper tried going in the belt and flipped it or what, put new belt in and have not had another issue. I spoke with tech support about this issue and they said to make sure the firmware is updated also, (I know same reply about every problem) My machines were brand new when it happened so it sucked having to put a new belt in with 10k on it.

Thanks Bizhub1 we have been back today and found the customer was putting 170grm through the bypass without changine any settings, Sounds like that could be the cause !

          Thanks for your help buddy
