Bizhub Black Print Counter Query

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if in the Color Bizhubs like 253/280/360, when a color print/copy is made both the Color & Black Counters counts 1 each i.e. does the black counter also count 1 when 1 color print/copy is made?

I am trying to reconcile some reports that don't make sense.

The black counter clicks once for color and black copies, except monocolor(one color-cyan,magenta,or yellow,etc.) copies. The default setting is also 2 clicks each copy for long paper (11x17,ledger).

Checked this out on a Bizhub 360...only the color meter increased with eah color print...can you please clarify? Is this a configurable setting?

The meter counter should only click for one black if you are doing black prints.

If you are doing colour, then black is included as part of that and ONLY the colour counter is toggled.

And no, it is not configurable.

Sorry, Stirton M is correct. When color copying (auto,full,mono color)only the color meter clicks. When black copying the black meter clicks. The default setting is still 2 clicks for 11x17 size.

Dont forget though that the "Total" counter always increments regardless of wether its colour or b/w. I`ve had customers confuse this with the B/W count....
