if you swap NVRAM that ok or not but how can you reset the CE pass because on service book it asking to replace new MasterBoard but still keep the old EEPROM (IC3A) so i think the main key in that rom so if we can copy this rom form another one with default pass so that we can use like normal but why Minolta request change new one MasterBoard , but actually i would like to looking another way simple more than that way

below that how to replace new master board

Try not entering anything and touch enter. I have had a few of these machines that didn't require a password.
      Hope this helps

just thought about this, do you by chance have a nec badged machine looks like a minolta di 3510. they are a whole different animal if you are trying to enter the service mode. I have one in my field. and it is a complete bugger to enter. can you confirm if you have a minolta or a nec?

Brent you are so rite! Xmasvn if it is a NEC version of this box there are two ways to enter service mode. FIRST WAY...... Utility, Access, press * (asterisk) 4 times, Utility, Utility , Maintance then Service mode. The Second WAY is Access, Account, * (asterisk) 4 times, the light will start flashing, Utility, User management, Service mode. Give this a try and let us know.

Yeah, let us know. NEC machines, some have three ways to enter service modes, and depending on what you need to do. I should have a manual...pm me if you need one.

Most parts and things are the same, but some models differ things like gears or toners obviously so you have to get NEC branded things.

out of curiosity. what was the original problem with this machine? we know you couldnt' get into the service mode. but what was the problem. we tried to help you to get into the service mode. I really doubt that the solution was not covered here with all the help from the members.
