    C200 Unknown ikon on display

We have a C200 where the user complains about slow printing (pauses between pages). During printing the display shows an icon at the lower right right side that I have never seen before.
Does anyone know what it stands for?

Not sure if the c200 is the same but with the other color boxes you can push on that symbol and it will bring up a warning message, but it is in the lower left on them.

I believe it just means that the MFP is receiving data......

I know i've seen this before, I think it has something to do with the Hard drive, probably has to be formatted.

ok, I cant find anything on the exclamation point with color machines, but on the Bizhub 250 this is what the ! means.....

Print jobs fail intermittently. An exclamation mark (!) is displayed on the MFP LCD.
            Description:
Intermittent printing error. An exclamation mark (!) is displayed on the control panel.
            Solution:

CAUSE: TCP/IP address conflict. This can be verified by disconnecting the network cable from the MFP and using the PING command on a workstation to search for the TCP/IP address that is assigned to the MFP. If there is a reply, a conflict is indicated.

SOLUTION: Assign a unique TCP/IP address to this machine.
SPECIAL NOTE: Solution contribution by Bob Moeller, Production Print/SSD

There is also mention of formatting the hard drive as well when you get the ! on the screen, I would try the IP conflict first, especially since you mentioned slow printing

Thanks, will check if there's an ip address conflict (the C200 does not have a HDD).

Bummer, now I know that the manual had the "icon" breakdown, but I was just working on a Bizhub 250 and the exclamation point appeared everytime someone was printing something. Those are close to the same age.....but who knows right!?!
Well I'm outta ideas, curious to see if someone can find what it actually means...

I see this icon every tome I do a config print on any 282 series or older. Don't know what ir means, but I don't think it is a problem, and I think as "Smells Hot" says...just an indication of print data. ( I also know that the green light will light up when printing or coping, but that indicator is on the ADF, maybr serves as the print indicator when ADF is not installed) Emujo

Have you tried printing from your own computer with a crossover cable?

I found this explanation in the Bizhub 250 user manual: "Indicates that computer data waiting to be printed remains".
