LK105 iOption License Kit for Searchable PDF

Does the LK105 iOption kit use the processing power of the bizhub 423 copier it is attached to? Or is it somehow using the processing power of a connected PC.

I know you also need the UK203 extra RAM.

All of the processing is done on the MFP before sending the file to its destination. That's why it takes longer.
