Communication problem? Grey stripes through prints.

Hi people.

I have a C6500 and I am constantly getting prints at the beginning of the day or mid way through a job with grey stripes all over the prints, as you can see from the attached images.

Someone mentioned that it might be a communication problem between the fiery and the unit.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Doesn't quite match your prints but it's close enough to be a place to start.
Could also be the Black LSU on it's way

As a thought. When the machine is producing these lines, stop the job and enter service mode. Print a test pattern with all colours set at around 150 at the same time. If the lines appear this will rule out the controller/cable.
