I'm always facing developer overflow on the black imaging unit after around 80,000copies.I would appreciate very much any help especially about the modifications provided by KM.
Thank you
known issue. Image unit has lost its bias contact.
The lock lever that holds the unit in place does not provide enough pressure to keep the unit in place. The fix we use at my shop is simple. In tray one, there are those white pads that are used to clean the laser glass. Take one, cut it up into little squares and place stick those to the pads found on the lock lever of the black unit. I usually put two pieces on each of the existing pads on the lock lever.

There has been a bracket produced to fix the image units in secure. P/N A00J-P331-00. It is a holding plate which screws onto the main body, so once its on the IU becomes a tech fit.
Ya, I knew about that mod, but deliberately avoid mentioning it as we allow our customers to change their own IUs. Gives us a few less calls to deal with on that end of the spectrum and more time to deal with more in depth issues seen out there.
