    Minolta 4650 new toner shows empty

    Put a new bk toner in yesterday and in 12 hrs it shows empty, could a bad chip be the problem? Your comments!

      Magicolor 4650? I have seen where the toner add is not running and cant keep up and dev unit starts to get low. Check for a seal blocking the chute. and shake the dev unit it might get you going.

              I had the same issue in a call last week. KM has a bulletin out explain that the toner can get "packed" and doesn't flow well due to shipping. Fix was to shake the cart side to side. There is no chip in these so cart will continue to indicate low toner but will deliver full life once agitator starts to mix it again.
