    C451 printing problem

    Hi I have a C451 and one pc that is printing to it has got Vista installed and when I print PDF files they will only print in black even though colour is selected. Any ideas?

    Did you go into your computer and when you are printing have you gone into preference and then go to color and chose color dot instead of grayscale and then ok.

      Yeah the driver is defaulted to colour and prints anything in colour apart from PDF files. Very weird.

        It likely is a setting in the app you are using to print pdfs. Check the settings within that app for additional settings related to printing documents.

          Are you using the PostScript or the PCL driver?

          In the PostScript driver sometimes activating the two convert to PostScript gray functions can make programs like Adobe Acrobat or InDesign and such print gray-scale only.
          also disabling postscript passthrough in the driver might work.
          The wonderful thing about standards is that there are so many of them to choose from.
