    Bizhub 600

I am working on a BZ600 that seems to lock up when the fax TX report prints. When it locks up you have to unplug machine to restore operation. I tested it several times with report on and with report off. Each time with report on it locked up, and each time with report off it didn't lock up. So I am kinda sure this is the problem.
    Has anyone had this problem?
Leaving the TX report off is not an option unfortunately.
    Thanks for the help

Try firmware first and foremost. Make sure you specifically update the fax board firmware when you do so, in addition to the rest.

I would try these steps in the following order:

    1. Firmware
    2. Data clear in service mode, and re-configure the device
    3. Replace the fax kit/mount kit with a known good unit
    4. Move on to boards and memory

Let us know how it goes.

Well I was at the machine Friday and udated the firmware. It seemed to fix the problem. I tested it and no lock-ups. I will call them Monday and find out for sure. Will update post when I find out. Thanks aesthetics1 for the advice.

Stuff like that is almost always firmware related.
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.
