    Error Message " Check power lead and finisher door of RU machine"


    I have a power cord attached to the RU-504 unit and it has power.
    I'm guessing the finisher door of RU machine is referring to the door
    interlock. I had the switch in the front actuated with the front door
    and then my finger. And it did make the message go away.
    This is that C6500 I am preparing for delivery.
    I am being rushed to get this unit out the door
    and did not have a lot of time to trouble shoot today.
    I will see this machine tomorrow morning.

    Any suggestions?

      This is one of the trickest adjustments to make. The door needs to close so the actuator hits the sensor and this is not always as easy as it sounds. You have to set the screws loosely to allow you to wiggle the door in to the correct position then open it (without moving the base) and tighten the screws. I have had to do this 3 and 4 and 6 times to get it to set correctly.
      And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

          Thank you Mr. Spock for your input.
          But I held this switch down with my finger. I heard the switch click.
          I suppose it could be bad. The machine only has 450K on it total
