    C220-prints lines/bands in grayscale

Whenever I print a jpg photo from software such as Adobe InDesign or a PDF (created using InDesign) I get straight white lines or bands. Printing the same image in color and they disappear. I have the latest drivers installed in the C220. It could be a problem in InDesign but I've exhausted myself trying to find the problem there. Any ideas? Many thanks in advance...

How much life is left on the blk IU? If you run your blk halftones how do they look?

Plenty of black toner left. Do you mean printing 'separations' when you say 'halftones?' I tried printing separations in grayscale and got 4 separate images in grayscale, none of which had the white line/banding problem. I presume there were 4 prints to match 4 colors of CMYK. I didn't know halftones were possible on a printer like the C220.

In service, I think under test prints. you can print all your halftones at selected densities. 255 max, usually doesnt show much, set it to 125, 75, etc... lighter halftones usually show problems more.

Where is this 'service' menu you mentioned? Don't see it anywhere on the C220 itself or any displays on my computer screen when connected to the printer. Thanks!
