Got a 7040 with code F46-11 here. Parts dept sent me a broken board and a couple other parts for a different machine. Before I throw the machine out the window, anyone have any ideas about it's malfunction?
Thanks!
Image process abnormality. AGC error or AGC counter overflow.
- -ADB board, exposure lamp or lamp inverter board. Exposure lamp stopping in wrong position. Or CB (overall control board).
Hope this helps
DESCRIPTION: F46-11 at power up.
CAUSE: Platen glass is removed.
SOLUTION: Re-install the platen glass.
Note: L1 (p/n 55YA83010) and L1 inverter board (lamp lighting) (p/n 55YA83510) may need to be
replaced. Check the SCDB CN22-B1 for 24V supply, and CN22-B2 for L1 ON/OFF signal, 24V in idle
in 47 mode 00 high start goes to low in this case the SCDB is ok advised to replace the L1 and the L1IVB
at same time.
So, basically, the machine is unable to read the white stripe under the platen glass, either because it isn't there, there's no lighting, some mirror is out of place, the optics movement is hampered in some way or, failing all that, some electronic failure. So you've got plenty of things to check before throwing that piece of utter crap out of the window.
The reason I'm talking like this about that machine is because I've still got one in the field and, oddly enough, I'm out to go see it as I type this.

the previous post are all correct but im sure (if my memory serves me right) that I have had this before and it was the laser unit that was causing the fault. If I am remembering correctly it came up with a 46-8 then after switching off/on it came up 46-11.
Just so you know, my memory has failed me in the past ha!!!!!
