    Color Banding in prints

We have a Konica 8020. Today it started printing bands of color through photo prints, printed from illustrator. There are bands of color (kind of blue) running through the pictures. I just replaced the Yellow toner, hoping that that would solve the problem, but if anything it made it worse. I tried to upload a photo, but had no luck with that either.

I just thought to add, I let the printer ask for the toner for a long time before I replaced it, because I wasn't printing in color. I am wondering - is there a way to "charge" or clean or something like that? The color bands are blue in an area that should be green.

Print a yellow full page, I think you will have missing areas on it which means you have a faulty yellow image unit...or it is very low on toner. You could try giving the unit a shake from side to side but it may be too far gone.

If your blue areas are green then you are missing yellow from that part of the copy/print.
Please do not PM me without asking first.
