Konica Minolta 8050- SC41-02 error code. Any suggestions?

I just got a call about this and have no idea where to start.

Anyone have a service manual or know what the error means?

Any help would be appreciated.

From what I can put together it sounds like 41 error is a failed write/laser unit or suction/exhaust fan.
the second part, 02, indicates the color.

Is the motor inside the laser unit or is it a single part that can be replaced?

it comes as a unit...i dont know if you can lube the shaft on the motor you can try it

and i think 42 codes are fan codes, 41 codes are write unit codes and the sub code tells you the color, its either a failed write unit or the printer control board...good luck

Hi!

I had the same problem with a Bizhub Pro C500 - almost the same machine and I only cleaned very vell the exhausting fans from the writing units and all the path of the air from around them. I did this about 3 weeks ago and the machine still works fine, no problems...

Bringing up an old thread with a question. It's May12 and it's back to some serious heat in my non-air conditioned house. Coult this error just be a normal condition from a C-500 idling several hours? I turned off the machine for 15 minutes and when I turned it back on the error was gone. Thank you.
