What problem are you having? It can scan without any other software. Email, FTP, and SMB. Into several file formats PDF being most common. What do you need to do?

You can twain it, you can email it, you can box it, you can SMB it, you can even remote scan 5 it (if you have a Fiery)
We need more info.

ANY scanning software will work just fine with this machine as long as it is TWAIN compatible software, and you have to install the TWAIN driver for the device on your system.
HOWEVER - TWAIN is quickly becoming a thing of the past, as more and more devices are fully network scanner capable.
I suggest using SMB or Email scanning over the network, no extra software, more control.
