Do you mean as set SMTP server address to gmail or hotmail?

SMTP addres must be some own server or your isp smtp address.

ya, exactly. my customer don't have their own smtp server locally, so i need to use the external like the smtp.gmail.com, to send to their email address.
i heard that it can be done, hope some expert can saw this post.

If the machine supports ssl and changing the smtp port then you can use gmail. Just login to the gmail account and search for outlook express settings and follow ALL the directions. Some things have to be changed on the account before it will work.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

              thanks for the replies.
yes, the machine support ssl and i can change the port in the smtp setting.
but seems that only few setting in this model compare to the latest model of b283.
this model got no issue scan to external mail using the gmail smtp.

To the best of my knowledge, the 350 does not support SSL..even basic smtp authentication is disabled by default (soft switch in service mode to turn it on). Next gen (BH500) has ssl settings. Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.
