For weeks our tech worked on it and eventually said it was humidity in the paper and messed with the settings but nothing was ever solved. He tried many of the things mentioned in this thread but in the end still stuck with humidity being the problem.

I hope you took his screwdriver and beat him senseless with it.

We had the exact same problem with some jobs having yellow shading on the sheet even though there was not any yellow in the job.

In the end we changed the Screening from Dot 1 to Line 1 and simple as that, problem solved.

Thanks, will try it too; Have to say, though, that this machine doesn't print with yellow when it shouldn't. It's just that, when yellow is in the "job", the machine exagerates with it towards the back of the machine..
