    Scan problem with Bizhub C220

Hallo everybody, I'm in great troubles because I have to work in these days and obviously it's quiet difficult to find a technician coming to set the scanner...
Well, I have upgraded my Macbook to Lion and since that my Bizhub C220 is not able to scan anymore. The printer displays "server connection error"; I checked the address in the web connection page and I think it's all right.
Do anyone have any idea? I'm in real trouble because I have to finish an important project in these days and I absolutely need the scanner...

    Thanks for any help!

search apples website and forums. They broke something when they released LION and have just recently fixed it. It is mostly printing but may have impacted scanning as well. I am not a mac tech but have heard this from others.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

I have the right address of the machine and the printer works correctly, so the connection between mac and machine seems to be ok.
        Thanks for your help!

Apple has changed Samba to their own SMBX protocol.
Scan to SMB does not longer work on KM Machines and other manufacturers.
Use Scan to FTP by activating the FTP Server via terminal.

            Thank you for your answer.
How can I activate FTP Server as you suggest?

            Thank you very much.

              Hope this helps

To activate FTP Server via Terminal
              open terminal
              enter
              dseditgroup -o create -n /Local/Default -u LADMIN com.apple.access_ftp
              enter password
              enter
              dseditgroup -o edit -u LADMIN -a FTPUSERNAME com.apple.access_ftp
              enter password
              enter
              sudo launchctl load -w /System/Library/LauchDaemons/ftp.plist
              enter password
              # LADMIN = User short name of Administrator
              # FTPUSERNAME = FTP User
solution was released by Apple <http://support.appple.com/kb/HT4704>
